Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about therapy, sessions, and what to expect.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of psychotherapy. What you discuss in your sessions is strictly private and will not be shared with anyone without your written consent, except in specific legal or safety situations (such as risk of harm to self or others).

How long is each session?

Standard therapy sessions last for 45 minutes. This allows sufficient time for discussion and therapeutic work while maintaining a focused structure.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes, research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. It offers the added benefit of comfort and convenience.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is primarily an intake session where we discuss your current challenges, history, and goals for therapy. It's also an opportunity for you to see if you feel comfortable with the therapist.

Do you offer emergency services?

No, we do not offer 24/7 emergency services. If you are in a crisis or experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please visit the nearest hospital emergency room or call a dedicated helpline immediately.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
